Fun Fact: The Great Rift Valley; a huge geological fault-line, stretches round one-sixth of the Earth’s circumference.

The Great Rift Valley has breathtaking natural scenery combined with some of Africa’s most memorable wildlife, boasting beautiful lakes and escarpments, which provide havens for plentiful wildlife with sightings of leopard, white rhino, Rothschild’s giraffe and an assortment of plains game.
This trip will be an excellent starter to touring the Kenyan Rift Valley and will leave you wanting more as we shall continue to discover the more of the rift that is constantly in flux while we explore the lake system of Kenya.

    Please arrive by 6:00 am in Westlands for a prompt departure at 6:30 am

Day 1: Departure
Meeting point at 6:00 am in Westlands for a prompt departure at 6:30 am. Drive for approximately 2hrs to the Kimende Petrol station for briefing with the ride beginning at 10.00 am. We shall ride for approximately 30km and end our ride at the main Naivasha highway to board the bus for a transfer to Soysambu Conservancy. On arrival we shall freshen up and then take a walk to the banks of Lake Elementaita to hopefully spot huge flocks of flamingos that happily wade near hippos and other game species. Later we shall wind down for dinner around a camp fire.

Day 2: Adventure Beggins
We shall have an early breakfast and head out for a ride around the Soysambu Conservancy for approximately 30kms followed by lunch at the camp. After lunch we will drive to Kembu Farm in Njoro, where we will enjoy famous Kembu pizzas around the campsite fire.

Day 3: Departure
After breakfast we take a ride to the Loindiani Forest and back to the farm, for lunch at Kembu and head back to Nairobi at 2.00 pm, arrival in Westlands at approximately 6.00 pm.

KENANA FARM is one of Kenya’s leading breeders of Fresian Dairy Cows, Kenya’s leading Race Horse Stud, and home to a healthy rotation of crops. The farm is self-sufficient with timber and wood with their own eucalyptus forests.
