Diani Adventure Race
Explore is a Travel Adventure Race born from the love of the outdoors. We try and keep an open mind at Explore, anything can happen when you yearn to “explore the unknown”. In this regard the races are be open to explorers who want to see Africa in a different light and don’t exactly mind not knowing where they will end up on each epic adventure.
Race format Race objectives focus on the participants completing overall missions. Participants have to collect different items around the course located at different points in order to achieve the overall Explore mission. The participants have to navigate the course while deciphering riddles, clues and brain teasers.
Missions The race features missions the participants have to conquer to complete together as a team. As teams complete each mission during the course of the day they collect points for each task done. The missions feature outdoor survival tasks, fitness, adventure sporting and conservation.
Explore Diani Activities This event is a perfect mix of the thrill of speed combined with fun providing an unmatched experience of the coastal outdoors and offers a variety of beautiful landscapes to take in. The activities will be centered around a Treasure Hunt, giving you a chance to discover the lost treasures of Diani swept in by the ocean. Some of the activities include a camel race, raft building, ngalawa (local canoe) race and much more.
Camping & meals
Breakfast will be provided, A lunch pack will be provided for lunch, dinner will be served in a buffet format . We shall camp in the Campsite in 2 man tents sharing.
The winners of EXPLORE Diani will get to experience the wonderful waters of the Indian Ocean on a half day Sport fishing excursion on White Dove, courtesy of Reel Fishing.
We at EXPLORE are cognisant of the need to conserve the natural flora and fauna that make this such a special destination. We will therefore be partnering with the Colobus Conservation Trust to highlight the plight of these endangered animals that grace the forests along this part of the Kenyan Coast.
