Derived from Sai and Keri, Saikeri is the place where birds eat grass. There’s nowhere else you would rather have endless views and a glimpse into the savannas of Kenya than at Saikeri.
Get to see how Saikeri was once very lush grassland that, over time, turned semi-arid savannah. This ride is a magical moment when we encounter villages and beautiful cultures that have seemingly withstood the test of time. This ride shall be 40kms from the foot of Ngong Hills to the neighbouring Maasai land connecting to Saikeri
Early Pick up from westlands for a 45 mins drive to our start point located just at the foot of ngong hills.
Start off with an easy descent down a smooth tarmac road before branching off to a nice gravel stretch with a possibility of viewing giraffes from a far.
The next part of the ride will take us through an uphill path followed by a long flat section and a great drop providing a good view of the beautiful ridge and landscape only found on this part of masai land.
You will be challenged on the next half of the ride with uphills that spread all the way to the finish point.
